Starting his DJ career in 1995 with what is now old skool (but was just new at the time), BCee fell in love with the sound of musical drum ‘n’ bass in 2001. Teaming up with Kubiks, the duo went on to launch Rubik Records in 2002 with their debut production ‘Life Changes’. In 2005 he teamed up with Lomax and together they released some 30+ tracks across labels such as Innerground, Fokuz, Nu:Directions and of course Spearhead Records. In November 2005 BCee moved to Ibiza, Spain and launched Spearhead Records. The next two years saw BCee play all around the globe alongside the resident Spearhead Records night at Café Paradis, San Antonio, Ibiza. Since returning to the UK in 2008, BCee has kept himself busy as CEO of Spearhead Records. His debut solo EP ‘Generations’ was released in 2009 and in 2010 Spearhead Records released ‘5, Re:Mixed, Re:Wired, Re:Wound’ mixed by BCee to celebrate 5 years of the labels success. BCee continues to build on his reputation for refined beats and alongside his regular releases on Spearhead Records has also recently produced tracks for the legendary Reinforced Records and his remix of Stretch & Vern’s I’m Alive has just been released on Ministry Of Sounds Clubbers Guide 2011.
BCee’s debut album ‘Beat The System’ is smashing it with DJs, clubbers and fans everywhere at the moment and we’ve got 3 videos for you right here including the official video for ‘Chameleon’ (above), which was produced by George Hurrell.
UKF Dubstep have been hosting this alongside his video for ‘Looking Glass’ (also from the album) for some time now – watch it below:
If that’s not enough drum n bass for you, Drum n Bass Arena also hosted a launch night for the “Beat The System” album on their TV channel -

The latest 12” from BCee and S.P.Y on Spearhead Records has been out for over a month now and Friction & K-Tee’s rework of ‘Is Anybody Out There’ is still riding high at #10 in the drum n bass charts, having previously charted at #1 at beatport and Trackitdown.
With Metric’s reworking of ‘Diagnosis Murder’ on the flip, its no surprise that vinyl copies of the record are also flying off the shelves.
The track has had over 100,000 plays on the UKF drum n bass channel and we think it should probably have more, so hit that play button and notch em up. You’ll be nodding your head by the end of it.
