Love Is The Devil Preview Online Now

With the second single from their forthcoming album out at the start of this week, Blu Mar Ten have uploaded a full preview of their album Love Is The Devil, coming out later this year on their own BMT Records imprint.
Featuring a long list of collaborators, the album preview lives up to its promise and shows that BMT are still pushing boundaries and themselves and have produced an album which surprises as much as the various collaborations suggest.  All while maintaining a their unique stamp on their music.

BCee New Mix Online

BCee dropped this brand new studio mix over to us last night, and what perfect timing the man has – we’ve just opened the diary for his album tour!
The mix is packed full of new material from BCee including a selection of tracks from the album, as well as other Spearhead artists and some dubs – the full tracklist is below, after the bump.

Blu Mar Ten: New Single, New Album, New Album Tour…

Blu Mar Ten release the second single from their forthcoming album next week.

‘Problem Child’ b/w ‘Sweet Little Super Nova’ comes out on their own label Blu Mar Ten Records and to celebrate the release of this single they have commissioned their graphic designer ithinkitsnice to come up with some ‘his & hers’ designs that reflect the release – Problem Child for ‘him’ and Sweet Little Supernova for ‘her’.  And for those that can’t make up their mind, there’s a Blu Mar Ten T as well!  The T Shirts are ultra-limited and can be purchased from the Blu Mar Ten website here.
Fans also have the chance to win a copy of the release on vinyl along with signed poster of the artwork from the release – simply add a comment to the facebook post here to enter into the draw (a winner will be picked at random Sunday 25th September).

The album ‘Love Is The Devil’ is released on 31st October and Faze 2 are booking the ‘Love Is The Devil Album Tour‘ now.

BCEE Album Sampler 12″ ‘Captured In Time’ preview

BCee’s debut LP – Beat The System is in the bag and ready for release ahead of schedule.
The full LP is scheduled for release late November 2011.  The 12” sampler features the tracks Captured In Time / So Right will be released in September 2011.

BCEE ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM: BEAT THE SYSTEM

The Faze 2 office is currently bouncing to the sound of ‘Beat The System’ the new album from BCEE released on his own Spearhead Records imprint on 21st November 2011.  The album features 8 new BCee tracks including collaborations with vocalists Darrison, Shaz Sparks and Robert Owens, plus 6 tracks that have previously been released on other labels on vinyl only.

The release of the album is quickly followed by an appearance on d&bTV on 23rd November, and the Album Launch Party on Friday 25th November at a currently undisclosed venue on Brick Lane in London.  This will be a free entry event, so fans of BCee and Spearhead Records should keep a close eye on this blog and the Spearhead Records site for more information on that.

The first single from the album will be out in early October in the form of “So Right” featuring Darrison b/w “Captured In Time”.  More details on this release will follow as soon as we have them.

Video Competition for Spearhead Records

Knowledge Magazine, Spearhead Records, Addict Clothing and AV1 Productions have joined forces to launch a contest for aspiring video directors.
Aspiring directors are invited to submit their videos for the track The Siren by Bungle ft. Ayah, the first track from the forthcoming Bungle album, and you can download it for free below.

Then film and / or animate a video using your own footage, edit it, upload it to Vimeo, and add it the KMag group.
There’s no brief, the best advice we can give is to use whatever equipment you’ve got. You can even use your mobile phone and edit it in iMovie, just be creative and use your imagination.
The winner will receive £500 worth of Addict Clothing of their choice and their video will be used as the official music video for the track.

BCee announces plans for new album

2012 marks 10 years since BCee’s first release and he thought what better time to finally get around to releasing a full length LP.
The album will feature vocals from Robert Owens, Darrison & Shaz Sparks to name a few.  The first single from the album will be released later this year.

We’ll bring you more information as soon as it becomes available.
In the meantime, here’s the video of Metric’s remix of BCee’s Diagnosis Murder.

BCee & S.P.Y ‘Is Anybody Out There’ (Friction & K-Tee Rmx)

The latest 12” from BCee and S.P.Y on Spearhead Records has been out for over a month now and Friction & K-Tee’s rework of ‘Is Anybody Out There’ is still riding high at #10 in the drum n bass charts, having previously charted at #1 at beatport and Trackitdown.
With Metric’s reworking of ‘Diagnosis Murder’ on the flip, its no surprise that vinyl copies of the record are also flying off the shelves.

The track has had over 100,000 plays on the UKF drum n bass channel and we think it should probably have more, so hit that play button and notch em up.  You’ll be nodding your head by the end of it.

The groundswell is building in the run up to Blu Mar Ten’s 5th release on their own label of the same name.  “Still The One” is a collaboration with Inside Info and is the first single release from their new album to be released winter 2011.

Listeners to John B and Hospital Record’s podcasts will be well aware of this track from the heavy support coming from these names.
