These two producers originally from Nottingham, UK have spent the past year working as hard as possible to promote their unique dubstep sound.
2010 was a successfully year for them, with releases on Chemical Records, Ministry of Sound, Clandestine Cultivations and Get Darker, and also numerous forthcoming releases in 2011.
Goli & Ashburner have cemented their place within the scene and continually push the envelope with every new production.
As DJ’s they play an energetic mix of grime, bassline and dubstep which has seen them perform at some of the biggest nights across the UK and also taken them internationally to America, Belgium, Sweden, Holland and Outlook festival, Croatia.
With a number of new projects on the go and also their record label For The Win Records set for a string of new releases, 2011 is set to be a busy year for the duo.
Goli & Ashburner New Releases
Having spent 2010 and 2011 releasing on labels including Chemical Records, Ministry Of Sound and Clandestine Records, Goli & Ashburner have been hard at work in the studio for the past few months writing new tracks and putting together their own brand new label DEM Recordings – which launches today with the release of their own release ‘Dem Zip Volume.1′ (see soundcloud link below).
DEM Recordings bridges the gap between grime and dubstep – 2 genres where Goli & Ashburner have a firm following.
To kick the label off, this first release is free via the Hedmuk blog and there will be more free releases coming from the label over the coming months.
The release is a 4 track release in the form of ‘Duppy & Leave’, ‘Bullet’, ‘Wrecking’ and ‘Boxed’ and sees Goli & Ashbuner collaborating with MIK & Merky Ace on the tracks ‘Duppy & Leave’ and ‘Boxed’ respectively.
Not content with releasing on their own label they also have a release coming out on Steppas Records on 1st December 2011. The ‘Get Up EP’ is released on 12″ and digital format and comes with remixes from RSD and Alpha Steppa. You can listen to previews of this relesase over at the Steppas Records site here.

New signings Goli & Ashburner dropped over this mix recently, showcasing their particular approach to dubstep.
Its everything you’d expect from a Goli & Ashburner DJ set – dark and moody in places, with driving basslines througout, taking in tunes from artists including Jakes, Mensah, Darqwan, Emalkay and more alongside a couple of their own productions and remixes.
With plenty of new material ready for release on their own For The Win label as well as other labels there’s a lot of output coming from Goli & Ashburner – watch this space for updates.
