Stagga’s dubz have had support by the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs, N Type, Starkey, Raffertie, T Minus, Hacha, Kid606, Chef and RSD amongst many others. Releases on labels including Rag & Bone, Rudeez (Rossi B & Luca’s label) and Robox-Neotech have seen Stagga’s reputation in the dub step world steadily grow. Honing his early skills in both DJing and production to great success as part of Chrome Kids, Stagga recorded a Welsh Hip-hop mix for ‘Rob Da Bank & Friends’ on BBC Radio 1 and helped take over the ‘BBC Introducing in Wales’ show on the station as well. The Chrome Kids’ Elbow remix was also on both Rob Da Bank and Colin Murray’s shows, amongst others. He has also had various Radio support with his Hip-hop productions and is a member of Dead Residents who featured on shows with Rob Da Bank, Nemone, Huw Stephens & Bethan Elfyn. Stagga’s pedigree and quality is obvious in his dub step production the reputation of his DJ shows continues to grow.

Stagga launches his bandcamp page with a free download for grabs in the form of a 2012 version of ‘Dance Bad’ (Rude Boy Version).
In his own words:
“A fresh re working of a tune i made back in 08 called ‘Bad Dance’. I like the original but wanted to make a up to date cut of it to spin at parties. This refit keeps the stabbing vocal sample from the original but this time chopped differently over a skippy 2step rhythm with some trademark Stagga wonky tones overlaid. Enjoy.”
Stagga will be releasing more tracks through his bandcamp page over the coming months.

Despite the fact that Stagga is in the middle of a jet setting run of shows which has taken him throughout south east asia before heading to north america for a tour of club and festival shows, he still managed to find the time to drop over this dj mix.
And this is the second mix he’s delivered this month with another mix coming from Solid Steel shortly. The man does not stop! You can catch up on his adventures in asia via his tour diary at the electric east website.
With his “Warm Air Room” album (out now on Rag & Bone) getting fantastic suport and great reviews, Stagga will be heading out across the Uk & Europe when he finally gets back for a highly anticipated run of dates at clubs and festivals, while putting together the final touches for his live album show in the autumn.

Stagga fans will recognise this track as being from Stagga’s album “The Warm Air Room” released 9th May 2011 on Rag & Bone Records – and they’d be right!
LA based Reggae, Jungle and Dubstep MC Juakali recruited beats from dubstep heavyweights Plastician, Tes La Rok, DLX and Stagga to provide beats for his Freak You Back EP.
Stagga & Monkey’s collaboration track The Chillski has works really well with Juakali.

It’s been much talked about and anticipated and now its finally here – the debut album from Stagga is released 9th May 2011.
It comes after two undeniably storming releases on Rag & Bone with ‘Sick As Sin’ and ‘Face get Splat’ which really put Stagga on the map. This really is a little bit different. Bursting with warped basslines only Stagga could produce, it weaves a meandering thread through dubstep and hip-hop. It’s very much the former but it is expertly and subtlely infused with the latter.
Stagga relocated to Berlin in 2009 where this album was produced and also where the name comes from. His studio is in a former ‘Warmluft Raum’ which translates as Warm Air Room. It’s a fitting title, some of the tunes have an uneasy feel of being carried away on a hot thermal (more…)

Stagga’s “Genik Riddim” featuring Skamma & Joe Blow has been getting massive support from DJs far and wide and now there’s this pretty awesome video for the track too!
In fact the reaction to the track has been so good that there will soon be a new version of the track featuring what i’ve been told is “a bunch of heavy US rappers” including Elucid coming soon and for free, from Slit Jockey, so it seems like the hype on this track will remain for some time to come.
With the release of his 2nd Slit Jockey single imminent, and his album “The Warm Air Room” due out in April 2011 on Rag & Bone Records, Stagga is in demand both sides all over the UK & Europe and USA & Canada right now.

If 2011 isn’t the chinese year of the Stag, then someone forgot to tell Stagga. With his first release on Starkey’s Slit Jockey label “Genik Riddim” making a huge amount of noise and getting great reactions on dancfloors across the globe and the release date for his new album on Rag & Bone being announced imminently, the year has begun with a flurry of last minute studio action, mixing and mastering the final touches for tracks which will be transformed into a wave of releases over the course of the next 6 months.
With a huge US tour confirmed for next month (thats february 2011 to anyone reading this retrospectively), an ever increasing list of european dates throughout march and april, before he heads back down under for a tour of New Zealand and Australia this summer, Stagga somehow found time to put together this new ‘mixtape’.
Actually, we really had to bug him for it, but it was worth the effort – this is a real good dubstep mix typical of his sound right now.
Enjoy Stagga responsibly! Here is the set list:
19. November 2010

Stagga is back with a grime track that is sure to get things hype! Released on Starkey’s label Slit Jockey on 13th December 2010 on Juno and then everywhere else on 20th December 2010, Genik Riddim sees Stagga get to grips with the frantic flows of Skamma & Joe Blow.
With remixes from label boss Starkey, Atlanta’s Distal and Las Vegas crew HavocNdeeD plus 2 instrumental versions from Stagga and Starkey, the package has something for everyone.
Stagga has another release lined up on the same label in 2011 and his new album will be released on Rag & Bone Records January 2011.
