Birdee may be a relatively new name in the world of dance music, but he is making serious waves very quickly.
Based in London but originally hailing from sunny Italia, he calls his blend of housey beats, obscure 70s samples and wobbly b-lines Ghetto Disco.
His latest release Shake It has been played by a veritable who’s who of dance music: Laidback Luke, Crookers, Tom Staar, Jaymo and Andy George, Boris Dlugosch, Reset!, Malente and many more have all given huge support to the track, which has also been played 3 times on BBC Radio 1.
Birdee has also recently done a guest mix for the Loose Cannons – well known for spotting hot new talent – which has been aired on their established radio show on Kiss 100.
Last but not least, he has just finished a remix for legendary dance label Southern Fried Records, who have also snapped up one of his originals to be released in June.
In the meantime his new single Freak, to be released on Jaimie Fanatic’s LKC imprint on April 1, is already being supported by Kissy Sell Out on his Radio 1 Show.
It’s easy to see why there is so much buzz surrounding Birdee at the moment, and with more releases and remixes due soon, this is only the beginning!

Birdee + Roby Howler on new Southern Fried Comp
Both Birdee and Roby Howler make an appearance on Southern Fried’s new ‘Fried & Tested’ compilation, out now. Roby’s first contribution ‘Figures’ is a big room house affair, whilst Birdee follows up ‘Partee‘ (featured on the last F&T comp) with another ghetto-disco stomper, ‘Fim Do Mundo’.

The Italians are taking over this morning… this viral vid for Birdee’s new Southern Fried release dropped today. Be warned, there are some serious shapes being thrown here… if you’re offended by scenes of Batman raving and Jennifer Jason Leigh thrusting her groin, look away now.
With support so far from Malente, Reset!, MJ Cole and His Majesty Andre, it looks like Partee will be a summer hit at parties all over.

Out today on Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried imprint, Fried & Tested Tracks features a new production from our man Birdee. “Partee” (see what he did there?) stands out as the most upbeat track on the compilation, a filtered disco inspired number continuing in Birdee’s self-syled “Ghetto Disco” methodology.
At this point I’m supposed to go on about how good Birdee is, but we’ll let the music speak for itself… sample the goods before you buy via the player below.

The second “LMP Presents…” mix on Ministry of Sound Radio in as many months by a Faze2 artist comes from Italian-born, London-based Birdee. Championing his own brand of “ghetto disco”, Birdee is making some serious waves and gaining support of some big hitters such as Laidback Luke, Crookers and Reset!.

We love fresh new talent at Faze2, and new signing Birdee is no exception. In just a short time Italian-born, UK-based DJ/Producer Birdee has been turning some heads with his blend of housey beats, obscure 70s samples and wobbly b-lines Ghetto Disco.
With the likes of The Loose Cannons, Laidback Luke, Crookers & fellow Italians Reset! (Cheap Thrills) all supporting his work, the coming months look very promising indeed.
