I Killed Kenny are duo of DJ’s from the suburbs of London. Formed in late ‘09 they released their first original production ‘Something in the Blood’ in Jan ‘10, to their surprise it was credited as Hottest Record of the Week on BBC Kent Introducing less than a week later. With a small taste of glory and a desire to party IKK put 100 percent into every gig they played, soon enough bookings were rolling in and since the begining of the year they’ve had the pleasure of playing alongside many house-hold names such as: The Maccabees, Late of the Pier, Micky Slim, lee Mortimer, Myles Dyson, Michael Woods, Tek-One, The Midnight Beast and the chart topping sensations that are EXAMPLE and KATY B Gracing the one’s and two’s at some of the countries most popular venues including London’s infamous Pacha. The Relentless Garage. 93 Ft. East. Brixton Jamm. Source. Q Bar, and many, many others throughout the Capital and South East. It’s been a brilliant first year for the boys, having signed to MONKEY BEATS; making waves in the UK dance scene, with their fresh and original remixes for The Count & Sinden, Kele and Does it Offend Offend You Yeah? winning praise from NME Magazine and Radio 1’s Kissy Sell Out and featured as Hottest Record for 3 weeks on BBC Introducing.
When Beyoncé rang up I Killed Kenny and asked them to remix this track we were all made up. Out came the champagne and caviar and we partied like it was 1999. Jay Z and Beyoncé herself flew over especially for the party, and ended up doing an impromptu gig live in the guys’ living room!
Actually, none of that happened… but it makes for some exciting reading.
The truth is the guys made this in a car. It didn’t even have 20″ rims…

I Killed Kenny will be dropping their debut single on Four 40 Records at the start of October. Already enjoying strong local support in the south-east of the country, the Dartford duo look set to unleash their sounds on a wider audience with this first EP featuring rising grime MC Koder on the title track “Leeches”.
In the past year IKK have received support from the likes of Kissy Sellout, Jaguar Skills and Eddie Temple Morris (XFM), as well as being firm favourites of BBC Introducing who have regularly featured their productions and remixes.
So as we have to wait with baited breath for the EP to drop in October, we thought it only right to whet the appetite with this exclusive track, only available from the Faze2 blog. If you’re feeling the love, make sure to connect with the guys on twitter and show your support!
