Jay Robinson is a 22 year old producer hailing from North Wales who’s productions are quickly gaining support from modern electronic music’s most elite artist including Armand Van Helden, Moby, Laidback Luke, Fake Blood, Etienne De Crecy, Herve and more.
Jay has worked for many of Electronic music’s finest labels including; Southern Fried, Ministry Of Sound, Wearhouse, Cheaper Thrills and Dim Mak. His remix of ‘Mustard Pimp – Oh la la Satan’ was also featured in Fake Blood’s BBC Radio1 Essential mix, as well as earning plays worldwide. His collaboration with Italian producer Supabeatz has gained him a spot on both the recent Wax:On Compilation and the Style of Eye Ministry of Sound CD.
With production partner Il Diablo, Jay is one half of Duo ‘Dub Frequency’, who have garnered huge support worldwide including plays on BBC Radio1’s dance shows by Kissy Sell Out, Dave Spoon and more. The debut EP : ‘Whoop!Whoop! EP’ has been released on Herve’s illustrious ‘Cheaper Thrills’ imprint, and charted at 17 on the coveted Beatport Electro Chart. The EP also managed to achieve full popularity after one day on the iTunes Music Store. With more productions and remixes on the way this unlikely duo are set to cause quite a stir on the scene in the coming months…
With his Radio 1 plays ever increasing, and with a guest mix recently aired on the award winning Annie Nightingale show, Jay’s name is never far from the tongues of the world’s finest DJs.

Jay Robinson continues to demonstrate his creative versatility with his latest release on Krafty Kuts’ new imprint, Instant Vibes.
A three original track EP, “Dig the Nu Breed” confidently strides genres and delivers a technically outstanding and universally pleasing journey through dubstep, electro, breaks and UK funky.

Jay Robinson’s “Optimal Grime/Deceptistep” EP on Mixmash records now has a release date of October 3rd! Featuring a vocal sample from Laidback Luke himself (the original Transformers sample had to be swapped out due to legal reasons… seriously, who’s gonna mess with the Transformers??), this is the first ever dubstep release to come out on the label.
Having already been featured on Laidback Luke’s Cream Ibiza Compilation a couple of months ago, “Optimal Grime” has already gained widespread support, and the anticipation of the full release has a lot of people all a fluster!

Jay Robinson’s latest release drops today on US label Dirty Fresh. Appropriately titled ‘Get Mad Now’ (a sentiment half of London seems to have taken a bit too literally) the EP also features a remix from Peo De Pitte, and is gathering early heat from the likes of Elite Force, Crookers, Hostage & The Dub Pistols to name a few. Jay Robinson makes tunes like other people make sandwiches… as in, one pretty much every day! You’ll find a host of recent remixes and productions out now on various labels such as Trouble & Bass and Warehouse, but make sure you check out these two big releases, out today.
First up is a dubstep remix on Laidback Luke’s Mixmash label. Luke has been a long time supporter of Jay’s, playing many of his productions in his DJ sets and compiltation mixes, so it’s great to see this well deserved release… only the second ever dubstep track to make it onto the label’s catalogue!
