Artist | Terry Hooligan this artist rss feed

Terry Hooligan’s reputation as one of the most exciting party rocking DJs has been well established over the past 20 years, from the early 90’s on the London scene, throughout his time as one half of Atomic Hooligan to the current time where we find him releasing under a few monikas and heading up 2 labels – all reflecting the variety of musical styles that are a well known feature of his DJ sets.

As Atomic Hooligan Terry is responsible for 2 award winning albums and numerous singles which established the act as one of the leading artists in the UK dance music scene.  As the lone DJ for Atomic Hooligan he has toured the globe playing clubs and festivals.
As Atomic Hooligan came to the end of its lifespan Terry has continued to release tracks as Terry Hooligan and as Grand Ruckus which sees him working alongside Ben & Lex’s Lex, with releases on Top Billin, Bass=Win, Westway, Functional Records and Sunday Best.

Terry currently heads up the Bass=Win label which he runs with Rico Tubbs and is about to relaunch the much vaunted Menu Music to provide another outlet for some more leftfield tracks which feature in his DJ shows but are beyond the musical spectrum of Bass=Win.

All in all the man’s got a vast collection of tunes and the skills to use them.  Handle with caution!

Atomic Hooligan have history with The Egg having previously remixed their tracks, gigged, hung out, fallen out and made up with them – its all love!
They’ve also been supporting the dub step sounds as part of their multi-faceted DJ sets for a number of years now, so it was only natural to go on this tip when they decided to put their own twist on the classic ‘Walking Away’.
There’s not much vocal in this version but there is loads of heavy bass as Atomic Hooligan come up with a typically unexpected re-working which opens it up to an entirely new set of dancefloors.

The .mp3 version of this track will be available over at bassmusic blog among other good blog sites soon.

Atomic Hooligan have a heap of original material coming out on both their own Bass = Win label as well as more goodness on Functional Records.  Watch this space for more info.
