Jay Robinson is a 22 year old producer hailing from North Wales who’s productions are quickly gaining support from modern electronic music’s most elite artist including Armand Van Helden, Moby, Laidback Luke, Fake Blood, Etienne De Crecy, Herve and more.
Jay has worked for many of Electronic music’s finest labels including; Southern Fried, Ministry Of Sound, Wearhouse, Cheaper Thrills and Dim Mak. His remix of ‘Mustard Pimp – Oh la la Satan’ was also featured in Fake Blood’s BBC Radio1 Essential mix, as well as earning plays worldwide. His collaboration with Italian producer Supabeatz has gained him a spot on both the recent Wax:On Compilation and the Style of Eye Ministry of Sound CD.
With production partner Il Diablo, Jay is one half of Duo ‘Dub Frequency’, who have garnered huge support worldwide including plays on BBC Radio1’s dance shows by Kissy Sell Out, Dave Spoon and more. The debut EP : ‘Whoop!Whoop! EP’ has been released on Herve’s illustrious ‘Cheaper Thrills’ imprint, and charted at 17 on the coveted Beatport Electro Chart. The EP also managed to achieve full popularity after one day on the iTunes Music Store. With more productions and remixes on the way this unlikely duo are set to cause quite a stir on the scene in the coming months…
