Sharkslayer have come hard and strong with a string of releases and remixes on labels including Trouble & Bass, Dubsided, So Sweet Records, Cheap Thrills, Real Monsters and Stretch Armstrong’s Plant Music, as well as regular releases on their home label Top Billin Music. All this in only a few monhts, its no wonder they’ve caused a bigger reaction that a great white in the childrens’ pool. Keep your eyes peeled for fothcoming releases / remixes for MAN Recordings, Dim Mak, Brrrln and more Trouble and Bass. Attracting the immediate attention of some major players, with their blend of reggae infused house and club music, Sharkslayer have quickly become an essential in every DJs record box. Major Lazor featured a Sharkslayer track in their recent Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 and Sinden, Diplo, Drop The Lime and Laidback Luke are constantly dropping their tunes. Even Tiesto is gettting in on the act, featuring “Digital Manges” (Palms Out Sounds) as a staple of his recent DJ sets! The reputation of their DJ sets (which take in everything from tech house to bass grooves to minimal tehcno and more) has resulted in Sharkslayer being invited to record a mix for Palms Out Sounds (see the mix section). It’s been a while since we last got a mix from Finnish wunderkids Sharkslayer, a busy production schedule has taken precedence, with remixes out on Kitsune, Southern Fried and of course Discobelle Records in the past couple of months.
