Virus Syndicate – album release 2010

After the success of the ‘Breakout Trilogy’ series of EP releases in 2009, Virus Syndicate are releasing an album version which brings together all 3 EPs alongside 4 new productions including a collaboration with Kromestar.

Coming out on their own Contagious label, the album is due for release in all good record shops and online in April 2010 on CD and digital formats.  Keen fans of Virus who can’t wait until April to get hold of the album will be able to buy it at Virus Syndicate shows direct from the band.  With each of the Breakout Trilogy EPs recieving rave reviews across the board in 2009,  this album is an essential collection of tracks for Virus fans.

Prior to the album release, their collaboration with Benga will be released as a single in March 2010.

Virus Syndicate : Mickey Slim : Stupid Fresh ‘Skank Out’ – out now!!

Fast becoming vocalists of choice for the dance community, Virus Syndicate’s first collaboration to hit the shops is ‘Skank Out’ on Bombstrikes records, where they have teamed up with clubland hero Stupid Fresh and label boss Mickey Slim.  Skank Out is the first in a string of collaborations with some heavyweight names in dance music, all of whom have turned to Manchester’s finest to vocal their tracks.

Virus Syndicate – Crazy (Antidote EP) viral video

Another single taken from the new EP “The Antidote” this is the viral video for ‘Crazy’ another example of Virus Syndicate’s skill as lyricists and another strong example of their development as an act that create and perform high energy party dubstep.  ‘Crazy’ exemplifies their humour and intelligence as MCs as they tell a story every guy out there can relate to (sorry girls but you know its true).

The Akira video edits work very well with the lyrics and highlight the message in the music man…

Virus syndicate – talk to frank (antidote ep out soon)

Taken from their new EP “The Antidote” this is the video for ‘Talk to Frank’ from Virus Syndicate.  The Antidote EP is the 3rd in the Breakout Trilogy series of EPs released on Contagious Music.  Both previous releases in this series have recieved great reviews and support from DJs, press and radio alike and The Antidote continues the trend.

Talk To Frank has been chosen for inclusion on the LA Dubstep Mixtape, a project put together by Snoop Dogg’s management and mixed by Plastician, which pairs up the best dubstep producers with big US Hip Hop MCs including Snoop, Xzibit and Eve amongst others.  ‘Talk to Frank’ is the only all UK track on the CD, which demonstrates the respect for Virus Syndicate as MCs and producers!

Virus Syndicate’s show on BBC1XTRA got an awesome response earlier this month when they took over Chrissy Chris’s regular show.  This mix is taken from the show and gives you a taste of their live club show – MRK1 is on the decks while JSD, Goldfinger and Nika D increase the hype on the mic.

Virus Syndicate Antidote EP

Virus Syndicate come with the 3rd installment of the Break Out Trilogy in the form “The Antidote” featuring the massive ‘Talk to Frank’ which heads up another awesome release on Contagious Music.  Due for release in October, The Antidote EP is the strongest package yet and proof once again of the skill and range of Virus as lyricists and producers.  From dubbed out synth electro sounds, party rocking dub step, sure to induce mass chanting and fist pumping on the dancefloor, this release has appeal way beyond the dub step scene.

Virus Syndicate on LA Dubstep mixtape

When Snoop Dog’s management company start putting out Dubstep CDs, you know its getting big!  This CD is a collection of original material from UK producers, combining with US Hip Hop talents such as Snoop Dog, Xzibit, Eve and many more – all mixed together by Plastician.  Virus Syndicate’s talent and status as globally renowned and respected MCs is recognised by their inclusion on the CD.  Virus are the only UK voices on this 28 track epic mix compilation!

‘Talk to Frank’ is the only all english production on the mix, and Virus Syndicate more than hold their own alongside some of the biggest names in rap music.  Indeed, they lead the way for the American’s to follow.

Virus Syndicate on BBC 1XTRA

Here is another chance to tune into BBC 1XTRA to listen again to Virus Syndicate’s take over the digital airwaves of the UK as 1XTRA goes all dub step.  The Virus boys took over Crissy Criss last night (wednesday 9th september) from 1am until 5am for a 4 hours session of the finest dubstep and bassline beats they have to offer.  Go to BBC1XTRA to listen again
