Huge congratulations are in order as Yolanda Be Cool take the UK charts by storm and hit the Number 1 spot with “We No Speak Americano”. With the track already Number 1 in most European countries, “Americano” is set to be the biggest tune of the summer and launch the Aussie duo to new found fame and fortune.

“Ayoba” is a slang term used by South Africans to express amazement.
It is derived from other slang terms, like “Ayeye” or “Ayoyoyo.” It was originally meant as an approval/appreciation of good dancing, although the exact origins of the phrase are unknown. It is thought to have roots in Johannesburg township culture. It is however, uniquely South African and expresses delight, excitement, agreement and approval. It is also used as a greeting.

It’s been a while since we last got a mix from Finnish wunderkids Sharkslayer, a busy production schedule has taken precedence, with remixes out on Kitsune, Southern Fried and of course Discobelle Records in the past couple of months.

It’s finally here! Faze2 are proud to present another great debut tour with some top chaps from down under.
Yolanda Be Cool are mid-air (at the time of this post), winging their way from their native Australia to Europe to kick off their first European tour. And what a tour it is!

Faze 2 are pleased to welcome Nerm & D Code onto the roster. From their BBC Radio 1 ‘In New DJs we Trust’ show, to their club rocking DJ sets, Nerm & D Code have been making big noise for a while now. Together they have played headline sets at festivals ranging from Glastonbury and Bestival, to Radio 1’s big weekend and won awards for both their gigs, their productions and their presenting work.
Nerm is the founder of Shiva Soundsystem, a multi-faceted, all encompassing entity which is a record label, artist collective, event management, publishing and more. His DJ sets bring together an eclectic mix of electro, dubstep, drum n bass and more. He’s toured all over the world as a DJ and performing as part of a live set up.
D Code is Shiva Soundsystem’s producer extraordinaire, who’s drum n bass productions have drawn support from some of the biggest players in the scene, including Andy C, London Electricity and Fabio to name a few. He’s also responsible for the huge ‘Annies Horn’ (video above) featured on DJ Hero (mashed up with DJ Shadow’s ‘Six Days’), D Code is now the lead remixer for the DJ Hero game.

Kanji Kinetic has a bunch of mixes scattered across the internet, however, they can all be found in one place at the awesome www.mixcloud.com. This is Kanji’s Trouble & Bass mix, done at the request of the label in support of his trip to the Big Apple to play at a Trouble & Bass event.
Kanji drops a spattering of his own productions throughout the mix, which also sees him work his way through a number of genres and styles dropping tracks from 16Bit, Roisin Murphy and Squire of Gothos along the way.

It’s with great pleasure we announce the launch of HeavyFeet’s new label STAMP! BEATS.
Each month for the next year Stamp! Beats will offer an original HeavyFeet vocal track, club friendly mix and guest remix. The original of each monthly release will be given away for FREE through a variety of online resources, encouraging fans to download, feedback on and share HeavyFeet’s new and exciting material.
The importance of artist- to-audience communication, high quality production and regular output in this new digital era is paramount. The concept is simple; avoid the traditional album format and allow fans more regular access to fresh musical offerings and exciting club friendly remixes.
On this first release it’s a bit of a Manchester affair with Virus Syndicate lending their vocal talents to “I Spy…”, a hard hitting tale of life in urban Britain.
